How does $0-down solar work?
With a solar lease or a power purchase agreement (PPA), a licensed installation partner puts the system on your roof for as little as $0 down. You pay a predictable monthly amount under a lease, or an agreed rate for the power the panels produce under a PPA. The system owner carries monitoring, maintenance and repairs for the life of the agreement. Read the escalator clause before you sign: it sets how that payment or rate can change each year.

Leasing or a PPA keeps upfront cost at $0 and leaves upkeep with the system owner. Buying, with cash or a loan, means you own the system and everything it produces, and your warranties sit with the equipment manufacturers and the installer. Yes. A home battery stores solar power produced during the day so you can use it in the evening, and keeps essential circuits running during a grid outage. It can be added to a lease, PPA or purchased system.

Monthly lease plans include SolarAmerica's service package: daily system monitoring, maintenance, repairs and insurance, plus a guarantee that roof penetrations stay watertight for ten years. Customers who buy can add the service package in select markets. Your contract sets out the exact terms.
