Ranked #1 by Solar Power World · Inc. 5000 · 20,000+ installations

Direct answer

Yes — and here is how to check it rather than take our word for it

SolarAmerica is a residential solar company ranked #1 by Solar Power World, listed on the Inc. 5000, with more than 20,000 completed installations. We are reachable at (832) 263-8055 and we will tell you the name and license number of the contractor who would work on your roof before anything is scheduled.

What we are, plainly

We design systems and manage projects

We are not the crew on the roof. Installation is performed by licensed partner contractors in your state. Companies that hide this are the ones to be careful with; it is a normal industry structure and there is no reason not to say so.

We sell power purchase agreements as well as purchases

Under a PPA we own the system and you buy the power it produces at an agreed rate. That is why $0 upfront is possible: the capital and the federal 48E credit sit with the owner, which is us.

We publish utility rates with dates on them

Our rate pages name the utility, the figure and the month it was published. If a number on this site is stale you can catch us, which is the point.

Things we will not say, that you will hear elsewhere

We do not promise a 30% federal tax credit to a homeowner buying a system in 2026, because the residential credit (25D) ended for systems purchased after December 31, 2025. We do not promise free solar, a government program that pays for your system, or a fixed percentage off your bill. We do not claim a rebate that expires at the end of the month to create urgency.

How to verify a solar company — any solar company

Check the contractor's license with your state licensing board. Look the company up on the BBB and read the complaint resolutions rather than the rating. Ask for the installing contractor's name in writing. Read the agreement's escalator clause and its production estimate. Ask what happens if you sell the house.

Questions

The things people actually ask

Is SolarAmerica a real solar company or a lead broker?

A real solar company. We design systems, manage projects and hold the power purchase agreement. We are not a lead broker and we do not sell your details on.

Does SolarAmerica install its own systems?

We design and manage; licensed partner contractors install. You are told who they are before scheduling.

What happens after I submit my ZIP code?

You get a call from a SolarAmerica representative to confirm your details and, if the roof looks workable, to book an assessment. There is no obligation and no cost.

Check your address

About 60 seconds. No cost, no obligation, and we will tell you if solar does not make sense for your home.
